A Window Into the Watery Wild!
Our Raised Dipping Ponds offer children an exciting way to investigate habitats, observe creatures and develop an interest in biology. Children can use the provided bowls to scoop up pond water and keep a log of their discoveries, identifying new species as they grow in the pond and following their lifecycle. Along the side of the Dipping Pond, the Investigation Tables are situated at an appropriate height for wheelchair users to easily utilise the bowls, making the unit a perfect additional to an Inclusive Play setting.
Raised Dipping Pond Benefits
Pond dipping is a hands-on approach to teaching children about ecosystems, observing lifecycles in person and learning how to identify common pond habitants. This will prepare children for potential future fieldwork, and spur their determination to take care of the environment. The Raised Dipping Pond will also add a unique element of play to an existing Natural Play area, where children may not have had access to analysing pond life before.
