Waterside Primary School, Hanley

Waterside Primary School in Stoke-on-Trent underwent a full playground redevelopment transformation!

Within the EYFS Area, we removed the old play equipment and surfacing. To provide the children with an area to play outdoors that is protected from the elements, we installed a 15m x 3.5m Timber Framed Poly Carbonate Roof Shelter.

Beneath the Shelter, we installed a Standard Sandpit with HDPE Lockable Rolling Lids and an Interactive Water Wall to create a Sand & Water Play area. A Tri-Activity Panel and a moveable Arts and Crafts Table were also installed in this area.

To create a Construction Area, we installed a Construction Barrier, Material Mover, Bucket Scales, Pulley Crane and Printed Scene Screening.

We also created a Mini Beast Area, which featured a Digging Planting Bed, Timber Planters with Butterfly Totem Hotels and Ladybird Totem Hotels, a Rustic Mud Kitchen and a Bug Hotel.

We also laid Woodchip and planted a Wildflower Area.

A Trackway was also installed within this playground, consisting of a 31Lm x 1m wide thermoplastic track with a dashed centre line and zebra crossing. Within the track, we installed a Balance World.

Beyond the trackway, we fitted the following post mounted Music Panels: Clacker, Drum, Xylophone, Chimes, Rattle and Cymbals.

Within the Mound Area, we laid Earth Brown Bonded Rubber Safamulch Surfacing and installed the following: Traverse Trail, Incline Beam Weaver, Clatter Bridge, 2no Stepping Stumps and a Net Tent. A Log Cabin was also installed at the foot of the pathway, surrounded by plants.
